|Whether you were an experienced pistol shooter before the
handgun ban, or you want to try it for the first time this may be for you.
In April 2004 six members of the Watford & District Rifle Club took a weekend visit to Belgium to shoot at the COPPENS SCHIETSPORTCENTRUM pistol club based in Knokke-Heist Bulgium (http://users.skynet.be/coppens.schietsport).
Whilst at the club we had the use of the following guns:
Desert Eagle .44 magnum, Colt Python .357, Sig Sauer 9mm, HK 9mm, Glock 9mm, Colt 1911 .45ACP, Thompson Machine Gun (semi-auto) .45ACP, FN assault rifle .308WIN, AR15 assault rifle .223 and a Remington shotgun firing solid slugs.
We stayed at the Pronkenburg Hotel http://www.pronkenburg.be/ in nearby Lissewege. This is a very beautiful 18th century manor house run by Alex and Guy Captentier (both excellent English speakers). Although of limited size it is stood in landscaped gardens in the middle of a nature reserve and the welcome was unbeatable.
To shoot in Belgium you must have a current passport and Firearms Certificate.
